PLAY WITH FRIENDS
Play your games together.
Create a group, invite friends, and each choose a game. Peliarch builds a shared world where items found in one player’s game can help another.
- Create the group. No account needed. You get an invite link to send your friends.
- Everyone joins, picks a game and its settings, then marks their choices ready. Friends can do this at different times, but they have to join before the world is built.
- Build the world. When everyone is ready, the person who created the group builds it. Peliarch generates and hosts it, so nobody handles YAML files.
- Install and connect. Each player sees setup steps for their game, plus the room address and their player name.
You don’t need to install Archipelago to make the world. To play, each person needs their own copy of their game and its Archipelago mod or client; a few games also use the Archipelago desktop app, and their setup steps say so. Some games play in your browser with nothing to install. See what each game needs →
Do we have to play at the same time?
You can plan a session together (often called a sync), or play at different times over several days or weeks (an async). Agree with your group on when to play and what to do if someone needs to stop: their game may hold items other players need. Keep your private return link to come back to the same world.
Do we all need to be online to get started?
No. Each player’s game, settings and Ready are saved as they go, so friends can join and get ready at different times. Everyone has to join before the world is built, though: nobody can be added afterwards. When everyone is ready, the person who created the group builds the world, and the group page shows when it’s done.
What’s a private return link?
Your browser remembers you in the group. Your group page also has a private return link: save it to come back as yourself on another device, or after clearing your browser data. It’s different from the invite link. Keep it to yourself, because anyone with it can open your player view.
