PELIARCH WIP · Native Windows x64 port + Peliarch client
Super Mario Sunshine
Sunshine native Archipelago
Try the work-in-progress native Sunshine integration with the existing Super Mario Sunshine Archipelago world.
Developed by Alaric for Peliarch. The public repository and WIP release provide setup, source and support.
Before you start.
This Windows x64 prerelease is for inspection and early playtesting. Bring your own supported Sunshine disc image; follow the release setup guide for its matching native game, client and APWorld. No game assets are included.
Use the existing Super Mario Sunshine APWorld pinned by this release. The supported profile uses ticket access, Spray start and normal difficulty. Blue Coinsanity, nozzle-box checks, 100-coin Shines, selectable all episodes, alternative starting nozzles and DeathLink are unsupported.
The ordinary randomized solo example has 87 checks, 70 Shine items and a 50-Shine Corona requirement. Native rewards support Shine quantity, seven tickets, Spray/Hover/Rocket/Turbo, Yoshi and saved 1-UP receipts.
Rendered Rocket use and normal save/reload, plus a physical Airstrip check delivering a partner Shine, passed on earlier builds. The final playable build passed native mechanism tests, all-87-check server/bridge fixtures and matching-save load/authentication checks. Those fixtures substitute physical game callbacks; a complete normal campaign through Bowser has not been played.
Choose the matching Save A and save normally once to enroll the run. Keep using that run when resuming. After a late Plaza ticket or Yoshi receipt, Save & Continue then quit/reopen may be needed to refresh entrances and objects.
After receiving a capability, use keyboard 3 or D-pad left for Hover, 2 or D-pad down for Rocket, and 4 or D-pad right for Turbo. Runtime check reachability is not evaluated by the client.
Project documentation reviewed 14 October 2026. Read the linked release notes for current requirements and known issues.

Archipelago integration
Alaric develops the native adapter and Peliarch client. The existing Super Mario Sunshine APWorld is maintained by Joshark and its contributors.
Underlying native port
The native integration builds on chasem-dev’s sms-pc-port and the Sunshine decompilation contributors. Their notices and dependency credits remain in the release.
